Toners and astringents with too much alcohol can cause dryness and chapped skin. As a result, the oil glands produce excess oil which can clog the pores making them enlarged. These can tighten the skin pores temporarily but can have damaging effects in the long-term. The complexion can get deteriorated as well.

Avoid oil based make-up as it can cause pore clogging and consequently making them enlarged. Oil-free products are the best for oily skin with large pores and black heads. Wear a light make-up and remove it before going to bed.

Mask

Herbal remedies and fruit masks made at home are excellent idea as they are devoid of strong chemicals, preservatives, artificial fragrances and dyes. Combine gram flour with milk and fresh lemon juice to make a paste. Apply over the face and wash after20 minutes.

Mix two egg whites with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Apply for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Apply witch hazel to further cleanse the pores. Do this once a week.

A sunscreen SPF 30 is a must while cooking or getting exposed to the sunlight. Sun rays can cause wrinkles, patchy skin and spots. It can tan the skin so fast before you notice.
